Former child star Josh Peck has broken his silence regarding the abuse allegations made by his former co-star Drake Bell in the documentary series “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV”. Bell alleged that he was sexually assaulted by dialogue and acting coach Brian Peck, who had worked on Nickelodeon shows in the late ’90s and early 2000s.
Taking to Instagram, Peck wrote a post supporting survivors who have come forward with their stories of abuse on Nickelodeon sets. In a surprising turn of events, Bell defended Brian Peck on social media, stating that Peck had reached out to him.
Brian Peck had previously been arrested in 2003 on multiple charges, including sodomy and lewd acts upon a child. The revelations of abuse extend beyond just Peck, as “Quiet on Set” also uncovered allegations against Nickelodeon executive and “Drake & Josh” creator Dan Schneider.
Addressing the allegations, Schneider released a video apology addressing his past behaviors. Nancy Sullivan, who played the mother of Bell’s character on “Drake & Josh,” showed her support for Bell and commended his bravery in coming forward with the allegations.
Sullivan expressed her hope that Bell will find healing and endure a beautiful life ahead despite the challenges he may have faced. The abuse allegations in the documentary serve as a reminder of the dark side of the entertainment industry and the importance of speaking out against abuse.
