DJI Unveils Avata 2 Drone with Enhanced Features and Lower Price
DJI, a leader in drone technology, has announced the release of the Avata 2 drone, the updated version of its popular Avata model. The Avata 2 comes with several improved features and a more affordable price tag, making it an attractive option for drone enthusiasts.
One of the key upgrades in the Avata 2 is its new propeller design, which enhances stability during flight. The drone also boasts a larger camera sensor, increased battery life, more gimbal tilt, greater maximum range, and a lighter weight. These features allow users to capture crisp, high-quality footage with ease.
In addition to the drone itself, DJI has introduced the Avata 2 starter kit, which includes goggles and a controller. This kit now starts at $999, a significant drop from the original price of $1,388. The new DJI Goggles 3, included in the kit, offer a first-person view from the drone, thanks to built-in battery and GPS, improved battery life, and enhanced video transmission capabilities.
The Avata 2 also comes with a motion controller that features a dual-stage trigger and preprogrammed camera movements. With 46GB of built-in video storage, users can easily download footage to their phones or charge the battery inside the drone using a USB-C PD charger.
While the Avata 2 is not compatible with old batteries or controllers, it offers various shooting modes up to 4K resolution. DJI has made its Goggles 3 and RC Motion 3 compatible with other drone models, but recommends the Avata 2 for those seeking an immersive first-person flying experience.
