Lawyers for Sean “Diddy” Combs have accused Homeland Security Investigation officials of using excessive force during recent raids on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami. The raids, described as an “unprecedented ambush” by Combs’ attorney Aaron Dyer, involved what was critiqued as “military-level force” by authorities.
Video footage emerged showing Combs’ sons being temporarily handcuffed outside his Los Angeles mansion during the raid. Additionally, Combs himself was stopped by federal agents at an airport in Miami, where they seized electronic devices from him, though he was not detained.
Homeland Security Investigations has provided little information about the raids and the ongoing investigation, only stating that Combs is not the target. Dyer condemned the actions by law enforcement, claiming they have led to a “premature rush to judgment” of Combs based on “meritless accusations” made in civil lawsuits.
Several civil lawsuits have been filed against Combs and individuals in his inner circle, alleging offenses such as sex trafficking, sexual assault, rape, and domestic violence. The most recent lawsuit by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, related to Combs’ latest release, now involves actor Cuba Gooding Jr. as a defendant.
It is important to note that Combs has not faced any criminal charges in relation to the allegations made in the civil lawsuits. The situation continues to unfold as more information is expected to come to light in the coming days. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.
