Remains of Two Missing Kansas Women Found in Texas County, Oklahoma, Four Suspects Arrested
The remains of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley, two Kansas women who had been missing for weeks, were discovered in Texas County, Oklahoma. The suspects involved in their disappearance and murder – Tad Bert Cullum, Tifany Machel Adams, Cole Earl Twombly, and Cora Twombly – have been booked on suspicion of murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy.
Adams, who was in a custody battle with Butler over her grandchildren, had purchased pre-paid cell phones in locations connected to the women’s disappearance. Witnesses have come forward, stating that Cora and Cole Twombly were part of a plan to prevent Butler and Kelley from reaching their destination.
Sheriff Matt Boley of Texas County has described the women as victims of a targeted attack. Butler and Kelley went missing while on their way to pick up one of Butler’s children for a birthday party.
Although authorities do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public, the investigation is still ongoing. The community is shocked by the tragic outcome and mourns the loss of Butler and Kelley. More details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses. For updates, stay tuned to Matzav Blog.
